Product Manager – Roaming

The role
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our Roaming team, a key part of our strategy to drive effortless payment and reliable revenue collection. This team is at the forefront of enabling seamless roaming experiences and maximizing revenue capture by integrating with Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) and ensuring compliance with national and contract-specific requirements.

You will be responsible for scaling business operations between Fastned as a Charge Point Operator (CPO) and Mobility Service Providers (MSPs). From partner onboardings, mutations, migrations, and self-servicing, to OCPI protocol integration and industry advocacy. Fastned is recognised for its reliability, which also shows through the quality of our location and charge detail record management. Keeping this quality as high is your challenge, together with furthering our roaming capabilities. On the compliance side, you will lead integrations with National Access Point (NAP) platforms and deliver custom integrations for government tenders and contracts - always with an eye toward building standardized, scalable solutions rather than one-off custom work.

You’ll work closely with the Payments team (responsible for direct payment methods), Charging team (Sessions and CDR input), Operations (location data input), Finance (scalable MSP revenue collection), Growth (MSP sales/account management),  and Network Development (compliance and data sharing).

What you’ll do

  • Drive roaming operations: Own CPO-to-MSP business operations, including MSP partner onboarding/offboarding, migrations, and self-service tooling for the MSP account/sales team.

  • Data & process quality: Ensure the quality and reliability of tokens and CDRs shared by/with MSPs, supporting the further development of Fastned’s roaming capabilities.

  • Compliance & integration: Lead integrations with national access point (government) platforms and deliver on custom requirements for tenders and contracts, while championing the development of standardized platform solutions.

  • Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with Payments, Charging, Finance, Growth, and Network Development teams to align on roaming offering, revenue automation, and compliance.

  • Performance ownership: Own and improve key metrics such as CDR success rate (industry-leading), time to authorize and charge card authorization success.

  • User-centric product development: Proactively develop a deep understanding of user needs and pain points through continuous discovery, experimentation and delivery, ensuring user insights drive product decisions and processes.

  • Independent research & experimentation: in collaboration with our UX and Engineering team, design and run research studies and experiments (quantitative and qualitative) to inform product direction and validate hypotheses, iterating quickly based on findings.

  • Leverage AI in your craft: Rapidly experiment with and apply AI tools to solve business problems, automate processes, and uncover new opportunities. For example, you might use AI to automate reporting, analyze datasets, or prototype new features. You bring hands-on experience beyond basic prompting, eager to push boundaries and help the team learn from your expertise.

  • Champion Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in payments, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance our offerings and maintain our competitive edge.
