The role

The Asset Manager Balance of Plant position is a dynamic, responsible role within a small team, offering ample opportunities for development in the offshore wind sector. The objective is to strengthen the existing operations team within the Balance of Plant scope, which will involve both onshore and offshore activities. The Asset Manager Balance of Plant closely monitors the integrity of the assets within its scope and uses their analytical skills to drive continuous improvements. He also oversees contract compliance for contractors working within the scope.

A colleague who wants to contribute to and invest in the challenging world of offshore wind, who is able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, and who can build and maintain relationships. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, are therefore essential.

Experience and background

• You have a civil, mechanical, or general technical education at a higher professional education level (HBO) or academic level, and preferably have knowledge of multiple fields.
• You have at least 5 years of work experience, preferably in the offshore wind energy sector.
• The international environment requires a good command of English, both spoken and written. Preferably you also speak fluent Dutch.
• You are able to work independently and organize your own work.
• HSE knowledge and experience with quality and safety processes and procedures is a plus.
• You already live and work in the Netherlands.

Where are you going to work

With a total capacity of 600 MegaWatt, the Gemini offshore wind farm is one of the largest wind farms in the world, both in size and production. Gemini is located in the Dutch part of the North Sea 85 kilometers off the north coast of the Netherlands and is not visible from the coastline. At this location in the North Sea, the highest and most constant wind speeds are achieved.

Gemini consists of 2 wind park locations that are built next to each other, that is where the name (Gemini = twins) comes from. The official names of the two separate locations are Buitengaats and Zee-Energie.

The office of Gemini is located in Amsterdam.
